Become a Dragonfly family
The Dragonfly Foundation works in cooperation with Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center to accept ALL cancer and blood disease patients, regardless of location of permanent residency, national origin, family/patient income, race, religion, disability, genetic information or family dynamic.
"The Dragonfly Foundation is a light in a dark place.
You allowed B and our family to feel joy and happiness during a time of pain and sadness."
-- A Dragonfly Mom
As of July 1, 2012, The Dragonfly Foundation has served more than 200 families affected by cancer and/or blood diseases, not including patients who elected not to apply to the Foundation, who are staying at Ronald McDonald House, or who are supported by Cincinnati Children's Champions and StarShine Programs.
Our goal is to sustain our support of the Hospital and grow the number of families we serve to least 300 by the end of 2012.
After Your Registration Form is Submitted...
A Dragonfly representative will make a personal phone call to you to review your registration information, to introduce the Foundation and to explain how our optional event notification system works. From there, we try to involve the entire family in our activities and gift giving, as much as we possibly can.
To cNotify or Not cNotify, That’s The Question
To notify families about event opportunities we have available, we use a service called cNotify from CBTS. This service allows us to call, text and email families about sports events, theater and concert opportunities, and other experiences that families might enjoy.
Besides accepting a cNotify call/text/email, Dragonfly families have three options to consider: 1) you can call 513/494-6474 and leave a message stating that you prefer to opt-out of the service, 2) you can screen calls using your phone’s Caller ID service or 3) you can hang up the phone upon hearing the automated call. Opportunities are summarized at the beginning of every call and email, so families don’t have to listen to or read long messages about events or information that does not interest them. Families can opt-in, opt-out or re-register at any time.
